An introduction to the potential of yoga to supplement and enhance your training, this workshop will build through a sequence of yoga postures specifically designed to open, strengthen and release all those muscles that take the brunt of pounding the streets day after day. We’ll be exploring how to cultivate greater range and control of motion, safe postural alignment, and an efficient, interconnected use of muscles when running: improving times, increasing endurance and aiding recovery. Time will be taken to discuss avoidance and management of common injuries, as well as breathing and meditation techniques that boost stamina, lung capacity and focus when under pressure.
