In this workshop we will explore how Yoga can be used as a strengthening practice, for both body and mind. Counteracting habitual movement patterns in our everyday lives by creating challenges that enable us to improve our kinaesthesia and develop a more holistic approach to movement. Through familiar vinyasa practices, we will create a full body workout with a focus on functional strength.
We will also learn essential body mechanics and alignment principles as well as some “fun” facts about anatomy in order to build knowledge and understanding of our own physicality and the importance of natural strengthening.
Breath is also a vital part in our physical practice, we will experiment with different methods of breathing and how the use of the breath can increase stamina, bring control and enhance our movement.
