We offer chiropractic care, massage, acupuncture for fertility, pre and postnatal yoga and pilates courses.

  • Pregnancy Massage

A pregnancy massage is a full body treatment which is specifically tailored to the needs of the pregnant woman and can help to ease some of the aches and pains (i.e. back-ache, swollen ankles, as well as emotional stress in dealing with these changes) whilst being deeply relaxing and nourishing.

A pregnancy massage is recommended after 12 weeks of pregnancy up until birth.

  • Postnatal Massage

A full body treatment designed to help the new Mum's body recover and deal with all the new aches and pains.

In these first few weeks and months, when all the focus is on the new baby, it is also a chance for Mum to be kind to herself and receive a nourishing and relaxing treatment. It is suitable from 1 week after birth (4 weeks after a Caesarean, depending on how well the scar is healing).

  • Pilate Courses

Pilates for Pregnancy & New Motherhood

A six-week course to alleviate the stresses and strains of pregnancy whilst preparing for new motherhood

  • Pregnancy Yoga

This course is for pregnant individuals in their second and third trimesters who want to keep moving, stay grounded, and grow with their bodies during pregnancy. We’ll move gently and with intention, following our bodies’ (and our babies’!) cues, with a particular focus on using the breath as an anchor. The course will consist of people at different stages of their pregnancy and will offer lots of options to rediscover your changing body as your baby grows. Whether you’re completely new to yoga or a dedicated yogi, this course will help you stay grounded and connected to your body throughout your pregnancy. It is beginner-friendly and suitable for all levels. here

Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic Care During Pregnancy

Women, during pregnancy regularly seek chiropractic care. Common reasons pregnant mums-to-be visit include:

  • Lower back pain

  • Pelvic pain

  • Pubic pain

  • Neck pain

  • Leg pain

  • Chest pain

Our chiropractors utilise gentle and specific techniques to help alleviate pain and discomfort during pregnancy. We aim to release tension and help balance the pelvis and spine allowing the best environment for the baby during development and delivery.

Postnatal Chiropractic Care

After birth ligaments begin to tighten as hormone levels start to return to normal, which increases the chances of misalignments of the spine and pelvis. Gentle adjustments and exercises are used to return the spine and pelvis back to normal working function.

Studies have shown that the addition of chiropractic care to standard obstetric care gives significant benefits regarding low back and pelvic girdle pain [1].

Acupuncture for female health

Our acupuncturist Julie has a deep interest in women’s health and has extensive experience in treating menstrual disorders, and hormonal imbalances as seen during peri/menopause, pregnancy, and fertility, both natural and assisted. She spent five years at the renowned Zita West clinic in London.

Research shows that acupuncture can also help a wide range of women’s health conditions, including:

  • Hormonal imbalances

  • Menstrual complains

  • Premenstrual tension

  • Anxiety and mood swings

  • PCOS

  • Endometriosis

  • Hot flushes and other perimenopausal symptoms.

Regular treatment can reduce and often alleviate debilitating symptoms and promote physical and emotional well-being. Acupuncture stimulates the nervous system, influencing the production of hormones and neurotransmitters and by activating the body’s self-regulating homeostatic systems, it stimulates the body’s own healing abilities.
