Yoga for Strength

Yoga for Strength

with Korina Tsipoura

In this workshop we will explore how Yoga can be used as a strengthening practice, for both body and mind. Counteracting habitual movement patterns in our everyday lives by creating challenges that enable us to improve our kinaesthesia and develop a more holistic approach to movement. Through familiar vinyasa practices, we will create a full body workout with a focus on functional strength.

We will also learn essential body mechanics and alignment principles as well as some “fun” facts about anatomy in order to build knowledge and understanding of our own physicality and the importance of natural strengthening.

Breath is also a vital part in our physical practice, we will experiment with different methods of breathing and how the use of the breath can increase stamina, bring control and enhance our movement. £25pp

Turning Your World Upside Down - Handstands

Turning Your World Upside Down - Handstands

with Tanya Rajfeld

In this 2 hour workshop we will explore working towards a handstand. We will first work on learning to apply bandhas and to use our breathe to support our handstand. We will then do some prep work to open our shoulders with some vinyasa style yoga and core work.

Moving on finally to do some variations on handstands. We will practice in a way that is safe and informative and gives the student the confidence to challenge themselves to explore turning their world upside down. Most of all- we will have lots of fun!
